Hello,

I am a citizen of the United States enrolled in a graduate Health Education program at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio specializing in disease states such as osteoporosis.

In my research, I have found a lack of U.S. legislation for funding in many of our states for awareness, education and prevention. Osteoporosis is considered, “a pediatric disease with geriatric consequences” so educating our youth could help minimize the disease in their futures.

I am interested to hear from anyone who has educated residents in their countries (outside of the U.S.) and wondering how the funds are obtained for awareness, prevention and education. Are there private foundations funds, government funds or other sources for instructing the youth about osteoporosis?

Thank you in advance for any information posted.
