OsteoLink is the first social network dedicated to improving
osteoporosis communications globally and locally. It is the easy
way for people who care about osteoporosis to connect online or in
person.
In 2009, a multinational survey of more than 1,600 osteoporosis
patients and physicians identified significant gaps in osteoporosis
communications as a major problem. To help address these
communication gaps, the International Osteoporosis Foundation, in
partnership with the University of Geneva, developed the first
version of OsteoLink. In 2014, a new version of the OsteoLink
platform was launched, with updated features and a more simplified
structure designed to better facilitate global conversations and
the sharing of information between members. OsteoLink is
managed by the International Osteoporosis
Foundation, with support from IOF
National Society members.
We're committed to making OsteoLink the place for improving
osteoporosis communications. As part of that commitment, we are
doing our best to ensure OsteoLink is up-to-date, and relevant to
your needs in osteoporosis care and management. OsteoLink is
advised by a Scientific
Committee of leading osteoporosis experts from throughout the
world to provide information that can be relied on.
