Http://www.osteolink.org is a site operated by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and its affiliates. (referred to as "we", "our", "us").

The IOF is a not for profit organization organized and existing under the laws of Switzerland, having its registered office at 9, rue Juste-Olivier, 1260 Nyon, Switzerland ("We").

 Accessing our site

Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our site without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our site, or our entire site, to users who have registered with us.

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, please treat it as confidential and don't share it. Contain any material which is defamatory of any person or organization.

Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.

Infringe any copyright, database right, trade mark or any other right of any other person, or be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.

Advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse.

Be threatening, abuse or invade another's privacy, cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety, or be likely to harass, upset, embarrass alarm or annoy any other person.

Be likely to deceive any person, impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.

Give the impression that they emanate from us, if this is not the case.

  3. UPLOADING MATERIAL TO OUR SITE

Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload anything to our site, or to make contact with other users of our site, you need to comply with the Content Standards above. You agree that anything you upload or post on OsteoLink complies with those standards, and you agree we are not to be held responsible if you do not comply with the Content Standards. WE SHALL ALSO HAVE THE RIGHT TO GRANT SUBLICENCES TO USE SUCH MATERIAL TO OUR PARTNER ORGANISATIONS FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES RELATING TO OSTEOPOROSIS, AND TO OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS SUCH AS TECHNICAL, DIGITAL AND TRANSLATIONAGENCIES FOR ADMINISTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY.

You agree not to transmit or post to our site anything that is not owned by you and by posting anything you are saying that you have all necessary rights to grant the license above. We shall have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you to our site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property and other rights, or of their right to privacy. We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any material posted by you or any other user of our site.

   9. VIRUSES, HACKING AND OTHER OFFENCES

You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.

We will report any breach of this provision to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will cooperate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them, as far as permitted by law. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.

TERMINATION

This agreement is valid indefinitely. You are entitled to terminate it at any time without observance of any period of notice. Termination must be made in writing or by e-mail to [email protected].

We can terminate this agreement at any time giving one week notice. Furthermore, we can terminate this agreement and block or cancel your account without notice, if you grossly fail to comply with these terms of use, in particular by breaching the obligations set out in 3, 4, 5 and 9.

12. APPLICABLE LAW

These terms of use and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Australian Law.

13. SEVERABILITY

If any term, clause, condition or part of this Agreement is found by any court, tribunal, administrative body or authority of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable then that provision shall, to the extent required, be severed from this Agreement and shall be ineffective without, as far as is possible, modifying any other provision or part of this Agreement and this shall not affect any other provisions of this Agreement which shall remain in full force and effect.
